How hard to replace driver's side front window? 900

Dear Naimnut,

Hope you're well. A few months ago, I removed a driver's window from a salvage yard car. I'm pressed for time until the weekend, but could then set forth how to remove the broken window and to install the replacement.

Does the salvage yard window still have at the bottom edge, the metal clips? I ask, because I have no idea how to install these clips.

You may need a drill to remove the rivets, if such are used to secure the window motor and lift device. If so, you may be able to secure the motor/lift device with short machine screws. If there's no clearance, you'll need a rivet gun to install POP rivets.

The process is time consuming, but not hellish.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

Spook
