83 245- The problem with locking keys in your car. (a solution) 200

I now own a not so ugly 940 wagon but I still leave it unlocked.

My $1100 1995 C2500 I leave unlocked and a key in the under the seat cover. All my neighbors borrow it as needed...because long bed work truck...and I got tired of telling them the code to my front door to get the spare key out of the coat closet.

Besides, it is 2WD, a 5-speed with no (working) synchro from 1st to 2nd, has no area that is not both scratched and dented, rusty steel wheels with used tires, manual crank window and manual door locks. Who really is going to steal it? If they do, they might return when they find out it gets about 10 mpg due to the 4:10 gears and TBI 350.
