I think I know the car. It is red, right? I remember seeing a '59 on craigslist at the time and I inquired about parts. I wanted to the buy the chrome trimmed door arm rests.

I am glad that you are driving the car! The drive gear that you talk about, is it in the speedometer or in the gearbox?

I have a real early '59 chassis # 17048.
