What it worth question. 140-160

The 73's were the last of the "slim" bumpered 164s w/ classic Grill. As mentioned in posts, great cruisers, and all BW automatics back then were sluggish off the line, cruise at 80 all day. 164s have the big vented rotors.

I had an auto 73 years ago, was dependable and my wife loved it. A friend bought a new '74 164 w/ 4-speed OD, and it was a killer on the street w/manual.

The market is up and down on these compared to 140's- 2 drs/wagons. The only concern for me is the old style Fuel Injection, but I suppose service is out there, and parts. Another guy I know has a '70-164 w/ twin SU Carbs stock--simple. Since you have the 544, you have been thru rebuilding things.

Start low on your, offer, 164s are serviceable, but if not running smooth,or other problems, I would pay 12-1500, providing not a million miles and drives OK. Things like Tranny rebuilds have gotten so high...if the basic car is good.
Great Luxo Cruisers, built to compete w/ Bimmers, Mercs. Would bee a nice balance to the 544!!! Remember, It's free to look, and Swedish Steel rusts slowly !!!Regards, Ken---445,780,760V8,LarkVIII
