Running hot 1800

The front of engine temps seem ok, but it is hot at the back. Is the distribution pipe firmly in position? You should be able to see and feel it buy taking the thermostat housing out and dropping the coolant out of the head. Also check that the bypass pipe is sticking straight up out of the bottom of the head.

Don't be in a hurry to chuck old parts either, the best thermostats I have are original and if you have a points ignition, a good original condenser beats new parts everytime.
