Rare/expensive and used by classic rallyists where electronic types are banned. Use alongside a Halda Tripmaster (single) or Twinmaster(twin) milometers. Halda also made the SpeedPilot. Saab 96 Monte Carlo had one fitted as standard, the only car I know that did so.
