Update 200 1988

Do I have an electrical gremlin?

Yesterday, my windshield wipers did NOT work at all (though the wiper fluid nozzles worked). This morning, they decided to work, but only at low speed (even when put at high speed).

This morning, the radio stopped working, but the cigarette lighter (both fuse #1) was fine and the fuse had continuity. Removing the radio cover and reinstalling it fixed it.

The power locks stopped working this morning. Fuse #8 was broken. Replacing the fuse fixed the power lock problem.

The only intervention I did was the following: yesterday, I was detailing the underside of the hood. The courtesy light was dirty, but worked. I removed it and saw a spark. It stopped working. I cleaned and reinstalled it. Still didn't work. This morning, after replacing fuse #8, it resumed working.

What's going on?

Also, what's the easiest way to test for high speed not working: replace the windshield wiper stalk/lever or check for power to the wiper motor? If the latter, which color wires do I test (I can't understand the wiring diagram)?

Thanks!
