Hello Greg,

The original door mirrors from Volvo are made of pot metal and the failure you had is quite common.

Volvo still sells pot metal door mirrors in 2 styles. 1 style used 2 sheet metal screws to retain it and the other style has 2 threaded studs that require going inside the door to install.

Both have the same trapezoidal shaped mirror heads.

I should have both styles in stock and they come with a new mounting gasket and installation hardware.
