I just thought I would add a follow-up:
It works great and puts out a steady 14.2 volts.
I decided to remake the mounting bracket as he material I had used seemed flimsy.
I went with 1/8"" mild steel 3" x 8" and shortened the 2- 1/4" to 2.0" as this gives the option of shimming to align the pulleys. Also using a longer mounting
bolt with a 1" long spacer makes access to the locking nut much easier.
Anyone wanting to do the conversion can contact me for drawings and measurements.
