Not sure the 1800 box will fit, as the front suspension on those cars was based on the 120 series, not the 140. Years ago, I was told by people at a company that remanufactured Volvos and BMWs (in eastern PA - cannot recall their name) that a faster ratio box from a BMW could be fitted to a 140.
