1986 Volvo 740GLE 190,000 miles.
The problem:
The car will not not run smoothly UNTIL the it gets to the optimal temperature. I am not sure if it is coincidental, but for the car to run perfectly the car must warm up until the temperature gauge is at the 12 o'clock position.
If you try to drive the vehicle before waiting for it to COMPLETELY warm up, she will start to sputter and hesitate while giving it gas. As soon as the temp gauge is at the midpoint of the gauge the car runs absolutely fine.
The car starts up perfectly, but the problem is when you drive the car before it warms completely up.
I am stumped by this, can't figure it out. Thanks in advance for the help!
