I dropped off my car on 8.6.98 at the "Volvo Car Clinic"
It is now 8.14.98, and I still don't thave my car.
Some transcripts from my conversations via. telephone with the owner of the garage;
Me: "Hi, Don. I was wondering if you've had a chance to look at my Volvo."
Don: "Well, Ted, not actually. Call back in 1 hr."
(2 hrs. later)
Me: "Hi, Don, etc. etc.."
Don: "Sorry, Ted. The guy who was working on your car is on lunch, can you call back in another hr?"
(next day)
Repeat above for 4 days.
Me: "Hi Don, etc.. etc.."
Don: "Ted, we found out that your pre-pump is defective, it's not working"
Me: "O.K., please replace for $140, as you said. I will get a refund from IPD on the replacement."
Don: "O.K., we should have it tomorrow for you."
(2 days later)
Me: "Hi, Don, etc.. etc.."
Don: "Well, Ted, we found out that the pump was merely disconnected at the ground wire, we can save you some $$, and have it ready tomorrow."
Me: "O.K., how about Friday morning?"
Don: "How about Friday afternoon?"
Me: "How about Saturday morning, then?"
Don: "How about Saturday (which is tomorrow) afternoon?"
I just received a message from Don. He said he has new news. I am assuming the pre-pump either is not working now, or IS working, but still making the "can-o'-bees" noise.
I will go to the shop tomorrow morinig, and if the car is NOT ready, I will put the pump back in, myself, with my own tools, and take my baby home! (And send HIM a bill!) Before I go REALLY nuts.
