Nelson -

A "cheap quick and dirty" way to T/S is to pull the hose from the TBA to the IAC and block the male end on the TBA with duct tape - put the hose back on (over the tape) and start it.

You could also clamp the hose with vise grips (not a really good idea with an older hose)
