Automatic climate control for 760s 700 1987

I had a similar problem and found that there is a small resistor in parallel with one of the temp sensors. It had corroded and come loose at one end. Soldering in a new resistor fixed it. The temp sensor is in some ductwork on the passenger side, to the left of the fan. This may be the problem.
