HELP! is it normal to have boost at idle? 200 1979

I assume you are using the distributor and vacuum advance set-up from the turbo engine?? But something doesn't sound right - the B21FT should be 12°@900 RPM. How many degrees advanced with the vacuum hose off?

You should have no boost without car loaded...and the car should idle connected. I think you should look to make sure all systems are correct, including base timing, CIS idle, etc...
