IIRC, wood was used under the bottom car, as the tires and suspension wasn't meant for the 9 tons or so. :)

BTW, I recall seeing Fight Back (with David Horowitz) actually having put that to the challenge. Closest thing they found was a Coke truck ... and it held it.

They showed the filmage of their original test ... they were in the process of putting up #10 when a sudden gust of wind blew. Oops. So they stuck with 6, in the safety of an indoor sound stage.
