Well Ryan, no one will ever accuse you of not having an opinion. From where I stand, I say to each his own. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Tasteless? In your opinion, obviously they are. In my opinion, I like them. In fact, I should thank you for bringing them to my attention b/c that seems to be a good price - I may even pick them up myself. As far as bringing down the almighty Volvo icon, I don't think a set of clear tails does much damage. I find nothing wrong with someone wanting something unique. I thinks it's fun to modify a car that most folks on this side of the pond never even consider the possibility of modifying. Truth be told, the first time I saw them were on pics of cars from a Volvo show in Sweden (no, I've never been to Sweden and I won't bore you with the list of other countries I have). The legality of them is certainly an issue that one must consider though.

To paint with such a broad brush, labeling anyone and everyone who likes clear lights as 'tasteless' or those who have never been to Europe as 'morons' is a bit pretentious, don't you think? Not to mention unfortunate.

So, Ryan, I would recommend you loosen up a little, get a little crazy, expand your horizons and buy a set of fuzzy dice to hang from your rearview. You might be surprised. I've got to run - the wind just blew over two of my pink flamingos in the front yard.
