In my opinion, you will have a VERY DIFFICULT time getting an SU to work well with a turbo. None of the current turbo setups are designed to work with a carb. Remember that with a carb all the fuel/air mixture will be going through the turbo and the long paths to the intake valves. The fuel will have a tendency to condense out if the manifold system isn't done right. This will take you a lot to trial and error to get right. A back fire will blow the entire set up apart if it ever happens and it is likely!
Thousands of engineering hours and testing go into a production design that you can't begin to match.
You will find it much easier to learn how to maintain a production FI system than to mess with an old design concept. Transport the entire modern turbo system into the car for reliability and ease of maintenence.
