This is not as hard as it seems to be. I didn't have that much trouble taking out the bolts or getting the transmission when I changed the clutch. I use two bolts with the heads cut off and a slot cut in the end so a screwdriver can be used to turn the bolts in or out as needed. I put one bolt in each side of the bellhousing into the block.
The problem occurred when I went to put the transmission back in. I just couldn't get it to go all the way in. I thought I had messed up the clutch plate alignment, but that turned out to be OK. I finally found that I had to loosen the motor mount bolts(not remove them) and that allowed the engine to tilt back slightly and the transmission just slid into place. Hope this helps.
