Weber DCOE linkage 1800 1972

If you want to go the cable route, get a pedal assembly out of a car with a throttle cable. The rod that runs behind the heater mounts the same on both cable and solid linkage cars. You'd have to get a gas pedal out of a 1800, though (the ones that pivot from the floor). That's what I did with my 122 to make it cable actuated. Discovering that the mounting holes behind the heater were the same made my day.
