timing question-no compression B234F 700 1990

Unless the crank isn't turning, I think you have bent valves. One way to check this out is to take off the cam cover and see if any of the valve springs are compressed. My bet is you will find some, although I hope I am wrong. Your right in that it is expensive to fix one of these twin cam heads.
