testing a oxygen sensor on my volvo 780 700

I have two wires coming off my oxygen sensor then they go to a quick disconnect.
How can I test it at the connector...my car runs a little rich and it ends up fouling my spark plugs. Does anyone know how to adjust the AMM to make it run leaner...thanks....Leo
