engine bouncing bad at idle 200

87 240 approximately 250,000 (Dads car, the one my teens don't want to be seen in).
Anybody have any idea what causes a bouncing engine at idle? It's pretty bad. The other problem is that it smells like it's running rich, exhaust stinks like rotten eggs and it blows black smoke at idle (park or in gear). It responds OK at low and high speeds. Thanks in advance for your help.
