940 stalling problem 900 1992

I bought my first Volvo about 3 weeks ago (a '92 940). Since then, it has stalled about 5 times. Most of the times have been on rainy days--not just a coicidence I'm thinking.

It has happened when I'm driving along, and also when I come to a stop.

I'm gonna take it to the local mechanic...he's not a Volvo specialist but he has worked on them before.

Any ideas what I should tell him to look for?
