Service Light 700

My service light is now on for the first few minutes of driving. At first I though it was due to forgetting to reset the light after doing a couple of oil changes. Pressing the reset button has not worked. I briefly read through the FAQs and did not seem to find anything that matched the 3-pin "test" socket in between the valve cover and the intake manifold of my car (1989 760 Wagon). Is this 3-pin socket the correct one for getting the OBD to flash codes, or should I be looking elsewhere. Your help would be appreciated.
