$880 to replace bad ECU? 200

Yes, with one caveat. I forgot to mention the existence of the rarer LH3.1 cars ('90-on) with the 572 ECU (I think that is the EGR car). I assumed you have the LH2.4 which is much commoner. If you have the 572 ECU, only Brian can help you.
Definitely grab in this order:
1) 951 marked tested
2) 951 original, known to work
3) 561 tested or rebuilt
4) 561 original known to work

2 and 3 are equally good, or maybe I have them reversed even, but you get teh idea.
