A/C condenser replacement 700 1992

Steve thanks for the instructions. Overall this was a pretty easy job. I will list my problems and observations below.

1. I had to take loose the plastic pieces that hold the headlights in place because I couldn't clear the intercooler with the brackets on the bottom of the condenser.

2. My system had been evacuated but the ambient temp was higher when I replaced the condenser and the engine bay was hot from driving the car. When I separated the first line from the condenser I got a little bit of condenser oil/leak finder spraying out. Not a problem but it could have easily sprayed me in the eye if I didn't have such amazingly quick reflexes. :^)

3. USE PENETRANT ON ALL FITTINGS BEFORE TRYING TO LOOSEN ANYTHING! I didn't and consequently now have to replace one of my lines, which is proving to be slightly hard to source.

4. I took my time with the pressostats to be sure that all of my o-rings were well seated.

Corrosion problems notwithstanding, it only took me two hours start to finish including tediously removing and replacing the pressostats and cleaning and oiling all o-rings and sealing surfaces. That also includes prep. and cleanup.
