My last two Volvos (245's) both had over 300k kms - the 2nd one had 425k kms.
The first one cost me about $350 in rear bushings, and the seler was a liar who had given the car a quick paint job to cover up all the rust. It started rusting two weeks after I bought it.
The 2nd one showed some flaws, but it also showed that the owner had performed some rust proofing repairs as he went along - wasn't real pretty, but it wasn't holey either.
This car has 430k kms (1.6 km = 1 mile) and runs like a top.
The big thing with Volvo's is rust, suspension bushings and rubber mounts, and struts/shocks. Oh yeah -the 240's were infamous for elctrical nigglies.
But I will park my 87 wagon alngside ANY 87 of any other make - especially N/A stuff.
You may not get HUGE $$$'s but try and buy one - they are hard to find from the buyers end of things.
