Throttle Position Switch Specifications 200 1989

According to my Bentley, your '89 would have the LH-2.4 system which would indicate:

Throttle switch idle position: at throttle closed ----> continuity
(testing at at throttle open ----> no continuity
ECU connector 2 and ground)


Throttle switch full throttle: throttle fully open ---> continuity
(testing at throttle not fully open --> no continuity
ECU connector 3 and ground)

It appears that it wasn't until LH-3.1 that they put an actual variable resistance sensor.
