Throttle Position Switch Specifications 200 1989

Sorry about the formatting problem on my previous message... it appears to have gotten mixed up... dropped my extra spaces:

pomp,

According to my Bentley, your '89 would have the LH-2.4 system which would indicate:

(testing between ECU connector 2 and ground)
Throttle switch idle position:
at throttle closed ----> continuity
at throttle open ----> no continuity

(testing between ECU connector 3 and ground)
Throttle switch full throttle:
throttle fully open ---> continuity
throttle not fully open --> no continuity

It appears that it wasn't until LH-3.1 that they put an actual variable resistance sensor.

Hope that helps,

TomD
