K&N High Flow air filters.

They will flow more air than a paper filter. They will keep out as much dirt as some paper filters. They are serviceable, so will last a long time.
They may give a bit more extra power at maximum throttle. In daily driving, you aren't likely to see any difference in mileage or power.
