BOOST CUT-OUT 700 1985

In my 85 740, when I get under boost, the engine seems to just cut out and I am unable to give it gas for a few seconds but then its fine until I get under boost again. I capped off my overboost switch under the dash and put in manual boost controller in months ago and my car never used to cut out under boost over 15psi, but it just started. Please help. Thank you. -Steve
