Keb Mo,
All the S90's,V90's and 95 and later 960's have a locking rear end, they lock from 3 mph to 25 mph. That is why one wheel is slipping. Test it out. Pull off the road one day onto a sholder with dirt. Then hit the gas. It takes a second to lock up but if you start moving that means your differential is locking. If you just dig a hole then let off the throttle. If you aren't locking that means that you might need to get your clutch packs replaced. Dont wory I found an independent dealer that changed my whole differential after I broke the spider gears for $600 USD. Look in your manual. The winter package only includes heated seats, floor mats, and a few other gismos, not the differential that is installed in all RWD Volvos after 95.
