Control arm bushing replacement. 200

Jim get yourself a grade five or eight 1/2" all-thresd bolt about eight inches long with a couple of washers and nuts, then go to hardware store and get a couple of two inch pipe couplers and end caps. take these items with a couple of i/2 " sockets and you can use them as a "quazi-press" to push the bushing out and then push it back in. I bekieve the Art Benstein (spelling?) has a picture availble on the brickboard somewhere. We are only talking a five or ten bucks to build this tool. I paid $165.00 for the tool form IPD and it failed immeadiately, after they refused to fix it I took the idea and built one out of bolts and pipe couplers. Worked for all my bushings. Careful if you use a bench vice to press the bushings out. I had a fairly new Wilton that failed when trying this.
