Engine cuts off while driving and other amusing activity 200 1991

I have a 1991 240 and my car sometimes turns off on me when starting when engine is warm. I had replaced the AMM and it seemed to work better but now it still happens sometimes and in particular, the car will sometimes just shut off while I'm driving. I also have that "Sluggish" feeling (sometimes followed by a loud CLICK sound) when accelerating from a stop (in particular when engine is still cold).

This is getting very dangerous and I just would like some ideas as to what it could be. I recently disconnected and reconnected my battery but this did not help.
