Well, I have three owners manuals: a 1986 US turbo diesel one, a 1989 US oridnary one and a 1986 UK ordinary one. The ETC is only mentioned in the UK one and it seems the easiest way to find out if you have it is to look at your switches, it you have ETC you have a switch with a skidding car symbol.
