Valve clearance is about the last place to look for wobbly idle. Is also least likely to be effected by 112k (only)
I have successfully restored idle with (in order of importance):
1) Fix Vacuum leaks, check all hoses and gasgets
2) Flame trap cleaning
3) Fuel injector cleaning
4) Fix Exhaust leaks
5) Renew fuel filter (restores possible fuel pressure drop)
6) Check current on fuel pump for starting pump failure
7) Clean all fuses
8) last but not least check voltage stability (Alt voltage regular) fluctuating voltage at idle does cause idle fluctuations
Improving idle normally is a long process of making ALL elements of the engine work just fine. It took me 2 years fo standard repair and maintenance to get mine super smooth. Each part replacement improved it a little more. All part of owning older vehicle - and to me exaclt what makes it so rewarding.
