Dash pad removal 140-160

No, you don't have to take the dash pad off to get to the gauges.Take the covers off the steering column and you will find the two low screws holding the gauge cluster in. After removing the two low screws, reach under/behind and push the inst/gauge cluster out(the gig is that there are clips holding the top of it in). This took some pushing in my car. Then unplug the unit and disconnect the speed-o cable. From here I was able to reach through the hole and re-wire inst-lighting and I could reach the back of the clock. I am sorry but I have never removed the clock (fixed broken wire and mine works). I am curious to know how to remove the dash pad though. Mine is all torn-up ---
