Valve shim job?

Buy the offset feeler gauge for ten bucks. Then measure the valve lash on all your cars.

You might just find that they need no adjustment whatsoever. That isn't uncommon at all. That way you might be pleasantly surprised that you don't have to do any valve adjustments at all.

Also, when measuring valves, just verify that they are within spec. If they are at the end of spec, don't necessarily adjust them to get them right at the minimum level--that's not necessary. My friend, a dealer, just took a B230F powered 700 series on trade. It had so many valve adjustments that the valves were shot. Not worth it to adjust them if they are anywhere in specs.
