No compression in 2 cylinders 700 1991

hmm steve, trying to get my head around this one, I can see if a cam snapped it could leave the lobes holding valves open (hence no or low compression) but how would 'wear' to it? surely hte valves wouldnt open enough..therefore be closed to much as it were (or are wea talking aboutthe surface breaking up leading to 'spikes' from the surfact holding valves open) im sure you diagnosis is correct just thinking it thru....

my maxim ' ten minuets spent thinking can save 2 hours working' (especially if thinking involves a cup of coffee and standing back looking at the job...)
