Your lucky I came down this far and saw your post...this topic is really a total example of "thread creep", so I'll also start a new Hot Starting thread...but back to your situation...I don't know what the mechanism for hot start problems is, mixture, or ignition, so I can't give a good explanation of why full throttle cranking works for me other than to superficially say it just needs to breath cool air for a moment...which doesn't help much. I agree push-starting is no solution...but I wonder what push-starting does, that cranking doesn't?
If anyone has more specific thoughts, I'd love to hear them...can anyone here say (from experience) that having an uprated ignition system prevents this? If you get that high per ignition system, let us know...I'm sure we can figure out how to wire it up, preferably without cutting the armoured cable apart.
