slack in the differential 1800 1972

It's normal to have a little bit of slack in the diff, but if you think it's excessive, it takes a shop that specializes in Dana rear ends to fix it. It's adjustable by shims to a small extent. They would be the ones to evaluate the gear wear as well.

What's worn out of round on the driveshaft yokes? Do you mean the bores the bearing caps of the U-joints fit into?
