Thats good to hear. Sounds sorta like you got it just in time considering the impending weather situation in the area....

Headgasket should be a pretty easy project. Nothing at all out of the ordinary there... my biggest concern would be reviving the injection system after resting for so long. Might be a good idea just to stick a battery in there and turn the ignition on to see if things (specifically the fuel pump) come online.

Of course, before you do that, drain teh gas and put in some fresh. Hopefully there isn't too much rust in the motor... but I sorta doubt there would be being in the fairly dry climate where she sat...

I bought a truck from Wyoming a year or so ago after it had sat for about 15 years... there was about a gallon of molassas stuff in the tank... but, the motor wasn't siezed and it fired up right away after fresh gas...

Of course, it would also be an easy proposition to stick carbs on there... of course, the purests wouldn't like that, and rightly so... but if the goal is to get 'er on the road cheap and easy, well...what the heck...

Good luck, and do keep us posted!
-matt
