Keyless Remote problems 900 1995

I just bought a 95 960 wagon and the lady i bought it from said that when she had the wiring harness replaced. The keyless remote stop working. Ok yes I got a new battery and yes I tried to reprogam the remote. the turn the key 5x in 10 seconds and then press the botton. Did all that even got a new remote. and did it again. So does anyone have any other ideas.
