Speaker adapter brackets 700 1990

Crutchfield sells speaker adapter brackets for the front doors to use 4 or 5 inch speakers. It works great if your interested in a smaller size.

In case you haven't looked, the holes for the front and back doors are different. The back has is a hole that a 5 1/4 will fit. The front has the oval in which a 5 1/4 will not fit (hole too big), despite what crutchfield says. I had some nice 4 in speakers I ended up puting in front with the bracket and new 5 1/4 in the back. I originally planed on the reverse but that was the only way they fit.

The way I did it the original speaker grills fit.
