Converting Drum to Disk and front brakes 120-130 1968

G'day All!

I've just bought a 122S last week to restore. I've also got 140's so I'm familiar with the drivetrain of these cars.

I'm going to replace both engine and gearbox within the next couple of months as they are both dead and I was thinking about the drum rearend. I want to install the engine I built for my 142 (B20 2130cc, ported head, oversize exhaust valves, twin 45mm dellorttos etc) but I'm now more interested in making sure the brakes are up to it.

I wanted to know if the 140 rearend is a direct swap or do I need a 1800 rearend? I also wanted to know if anyone had tried installing a set of front stub axles and brakes from a 140 or 164. The front suspension is fairly similar so I can't see why it can't be done with the correct size master cylinder to suit the brake combination.

What are you're experiences with brake upgrades for these cars?

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!
