Thinkin' about a 960, any problems? 900 1995

As in any forum, there will be disagreement. This issue is no exception. I don't know of a Volvo model that doesn't have issues, Otherwise the BB wouldn't list all models. The 960s-S/V90s have theirs too, but it isn't necessarily a reason for exclusion. I would search the FAQs as well as archived threads for any number of discussions, and you'll get varying opinions. My 960s (I've owned two) have been good cars. mY son now drives the 92 965. They are wonderful road cars and are born to cruise at highway speeds.

Any individual car under consideration requires careful inspection by a mechanic who knows this model well. The 95 may have issues unique to this year since several changes in the mechanics were made in 95. The one crtical consideration is the timing belt that, if it breaks, will destroy the engine. That understandably scares some people away from the interference type inline 6.
