I have an original spare like that. It was in my '84 DL. Black steel wheel. Tire is a donut and the word, "SPECIAL," is repeatedly imprinted around it's circumference. Diameter is the same as the roadwheels. It has never been used. I no longer have the car but I kept the spare just for the hell of it. I don't carry it as a spare though. I'd rather have a full size tire and wheel in the trunk. I imagine a lot of 240 owners felt the same. I'd think there must be a lot of these spares lying around in people's garages.
