front downpipe help 200 1990

Mine's got about 3 years and 60K+ on it. Visually it looks good so I am going to see what kind of quotes I get for welding it. If they are high, I think I will buy a new one for about $70 + hardware from FCP/Groton.

Having never done this before, I am a little concerned about getting the old one off especially since I don't own a torch. Anything to watch out for?
