No special tools, but lots of socket extensions are nice to have so you can get the ratchet out in the open to spin the 3 10mm nuts off the headlight. As mentioned, they usually rust and turning them by hand is neither easy nor convenient given the location.
The turn signal assembly is attached to the headlight. Unplug the signal at the grey connector and wiggle it through the oval hole of similar shape. The drivers side can be a pain because the hood release cable may run through the same hole as it did on my car. Also there's a ground wire to the signal, and the passengers side one might be hard to get to if it's behind the washer fluid tank, but I don't recall exactly where it was attached.
Basically, a 10-15min. job.
